We keep both, the white clip is part of the accelerator cable, not a part in its own right

Thanks Simon, looks like I ordered the incorrect one from you then. Please could you tell me the part number of the cable?

I see you have the metal item for the carb but was rather hoping that someone had a used one

I had a speedo cable without the white plastic bushing to clip into the bracket, so i ran a M6 x 1.0 die down the plain metal part of the accel cable and put it in with a suitable size washer either side of the bracket and an M6 nyloc - I actually find this a much more preferable solution than the plastic clip

What can be used is a "6mm barrel adjuster" which is a part of a bicycle brake cable system.

I've also managed to pull the plastic part from an old cable and glued a new C-AHT85 cable into it.

I 'might' have a spare quadrant - I can take a look at the weekend.
