Mini Owner Again After 40+ Years

I'm Peter from South Nottingham and I'm a Mini owner again after over 4 decades.
I say owner but technically I'm half an owner as my son, Tom, won Marvin in an online draw:

As my son lives on a road with no off-street parking I bought a stake and now keep Marvin garaged at my home in South Nottingham.
Marvin sports a 1380cc engine and has been a bit temperamental since we've owned him and I'm hoping to seek help and answers to many challenges we face.
It's great to be a Mini owner again and my wife and I have used Marvin to visit all the country pubs in the Nottingham/Leicestershire Wolds. There's dozens of 'em so it could take months, even years! We'll stay strong and get through them all.
I'll post pictures when I'm able and share photos of my early Minis going back to 1966.
I'm looking forward to contributing.

If you go to the UK Minis site you can hear the draws live. The one where my son, Tom, was called on a Sunday evening is hilarious as he was quite potty mouthed! LOL!
I also know a guy who won a restored RS Ford Escort worth about £50k!
I'm getting up speed with all the mechanics (I come from an age where 18-year old lads used spanners rather than computers on their cars) and I'll need some advice.
Thanks for the warm welcome.

Nice looking Mini
Marvin's looks are deceiving. He's being a bit a pig and he'll be the subject of many threads as I try to get him going as good as he looks.
Thanks for the welcome.

I've just added a profile picture of my first (of many Minis) from 1978: a Mini 850 with go-faster parts, registration CFE922D, sadly no longer of this world.

Think a Haynes manual and some imperial spanners for Christmas are required...
