1990 Rsp Cooper Stroboscope Timing

Best Answer GermanMoreno , 22 September 2024 - 03:22 PM

Hi all, can't find this info anywhere. Does anyone know what the correct ignition timing setting is for an unmodified 1990 Cooper?

Thanks in advance (pun intended).

What's the distributor number as well as the start of the engine number?

Note that you'll need to verify that the distributor is advancing at the correct time. Even when relatively new this needed to be checked but many people ignore it.

I forgot to mention that the figures above need to be set with the vaccum advanced disconnected and blocked for this specific model.
