Petrol Tank Sender Unit

1980 mini van.

 

I think I need to replace petrol sender unit.

 

Do I need to remove the whole tank to get to sender Unit please?

Haynes manual says yes.  Thats the way I did mine.  It also allows you to clean out the tank and inspect for corrosion.

If the van tank is the same as the Pickup then you might be able to do it in situ but it would be a right bugger of a job.

 

Much easier to remove the tanks as mentioned above. It's only six screws.
