Looks very nice, cant help but think there would have been more interest in it if it hadnt been bare shelled and re-sprayed. Because now absolutely no one can tell how good it might or might not have been before that.
Its only original once after all and no pre paint pictures? If the seller wants 30-40k as per auction estimate then i'd have though a full set of detailed pre paintwork condition and during restoration pictures would be kind of mandatory. Is that just me being sensible and expecting pictures to back up pre paint condition and work done when spending large sums?

it is a shame it has those reverse lights fitted.

A small error often seen on early Minis is that the magic wand rubber gearlever gaiter and retainer was never fitted over the carpet or rubber mat. From the factory it was screwed direct to the metal tunnel BELOW the carpet and the wand gearlever poked through a hole in the floor covering.
The master cylinders are also not fitted the right way round....

Modifications like the reverse lights were a common 'upgrade' back in the 1960/70's as few cars or vans had them factory fitted as standard back in the day.
Classic Mini enthusiasts today seem to rate 'factory standard' spec as all important and for higher sale values but back in the day the Mini in all its variants was the most modified car and there was a whole aftermarket industry and shops selling goodies and accessories to upgrade your Mini.
Sadly this does reduce the interest at one make shows for those who are not marque 'anoraks' as many of the cars start to all look the same....

I’m curious why it’s a shame, if it was done since new, according to the seller?
It says factory, not sure I believe that, as I’ve never seen another, perhaps a van expert can shed some light!

I am sure they aren't factory, they are a later addition
