So thinking about this, there are two places where the oil could is leaking: - Timing chain cover.
- Differential shaft flange side cover. Around the lid or in the center, where the pot joint came in.

The oil cap on the rocker cover often leaks. Its a 12,000 mile replacement item. It took me a long time to find that one. Worth a replacement.

if the diff output shafts were leaking i'd expect the puddle to be at the rear of the engine.
if the rocker cover gasket is leaking you should be able to it
the photo looks like ithe puddle is below the timing gear end, so start by looking for eevidence of leaks around the timing gear cover, crankshaft pulley seal or the half moon seal (tucked up behind the timing gear plate between the engine and gearbox)

Get some UV oil dye and then you will know where the leak is rather than guessing.

Thanks for reply Peter. Yes, I've seen some oil around the rocker cover filler neck. The cap is about 4 years old. I will change it, but it doesn't seem credible to me that so much oil could leak out there to form that puddle of oil on the floor, after using the car.

IF the oil is coming out of the rocker cover cap then you have an issue which isn't the cap - the breather system.

Only as it is an air filter as well as an oil cap.
air is pulled through it as part of the breather system.

Thank you very much for your help. It's all very surprising. The first few weeks of using the new engine, there were no oil leaks. Then it made a small puddle on the floor every day I used the car, and now it leaks a little oil, but less.
I'll check the engine every day, but is no easy to find it. Should be easier with the car on elevator.

Check the hold-downs for tightness, but DO NOT overtighten them.

Thanks Nick! I didn't know about this ultraviolet product to detect leaks.

I appreciate your response. The engine is newly built, it doesn't even have 300 km on it. My goodness, I hope I don't have that problem you mention with ventilation. I hope it is a leak from the timing chain cover or the rocker cover filler cap. The worrying thing is that we are not talking about a few simple drops of oil, we are talking about a larger amount.

And in the last photo, we see oil "stains" on the rocker cover, around the filler neck.

Please post some pictures of your engine bay to show all your hose connections etc.
