Polly is crap. It does not work correctly. You can’t over tighten them as they tighten to a stop. BUT they (correct parts) should not be tightened full untill wheels are on the ground. So the rubber is in the right place to flex both ways. Polly is not designed to flex and need lubrication and just falls to bits.

Final(?) update. I took the rear suspension apart and swapped cones and trumpets left to right. It now sits 1 cm higher at the left front, and a bit less than that at the left rear (down from 3cm when I started). At this point, I think i can live with it. Of course, when my fat a$$ is driving, it will be noticably tilted again! The right rear tire still has a few degrees positive camber, so I'll probably spring for some adjustable brackets.
So what was the final problem? Who knows. Probably something wasn't seated correctly and I got it back together right the second time.
RE: the bushings. I maybe got a bit lucky in that I had greased them a bit just to make them slide in easier. I backed off the nuts and tried to move things around to hopefully relieve some pressure, and then tightened it all up with the weight on the wheels. Fingers crossed.
