Hi I’m Jason in Cheshire retired newbie to mini mayhem, would anyone have an idea approximate value to buy of nice late mk2 mini 1000 with low miles please?

I would focus less on the mileage and more on the rust (or lack thereof)

 

generally speaking you can probably pick something up that needs panels replacing for anywhere between 1-3k

 

something with all decent bodywork is probably going to be in the region of 4-6k minimum I would imagine

 

special editions upwards from there depending how rare and what condition

 

have a good read up on where all the common rust areas are, and take your time looking it all over to see if the asking price is reasonable

Worth keeping an eye on carandclassic.co.uk and ebay initially to get a feel for asking prices (noting that some are very optimistic)

Not sure how many standard / non-cooper mk2's are out there. You'll pay a premium over later models.

As above clean bodywork top of your search list. I learnt the hard way.
