Morning guys (Toronto time),
- Issue -
- I have a four glass blade fuse box on an MK4 - last fuse does not carry power?
- Actions I took
- It worked the other day so I know something went sideways in the last few weeks.
- Replaced with new fuse box I bought ages ago, same issue.
- Run in power from lights - still nothing fires up that blade.
- Replaced with three different fuses - nothing.
- Checked glass (in-line) fuses (at the firewall) - both are good.
- I am suspecting something is wrong here as I did here it "pop" the other day as I blew the glass fuse as grounded somewhere during re-wire.
- I changed to a new in-line fuse as I noticed the metal base on one of the glass (in-line) fuses was blown away when it "popped". This in-line fuse has a small light to indicate connectivity and surprise!! - it does not come on when I turn ignition to position #2.
- Checked for any frayed wires, grounding (should not be an issue but ya never know) no problem.
- Moved the power that I had on blade number four to blade #3 - lights work so power is running through.
- Turned ignition switch to position #2 - check with strobe light, 1,2,3 blades getting power and again blade #4 - nothing.
- Results and oddities
- Indicators don't work in any case - Blade #3 and certainly not #4 which is dead???
- I read that the amps top down are - (Would it make a difference lets say if you have 15AMP for #1 as opposed to 35AMP?)
- 35
- 25
- 25
- 15
Thoughts and would upload a picture but that imgbb site is down..
