Hi, and as the title says, it's only taken me 40 years to buy my first Mini.

I've always been car mad, and after spending some time in a mates Mini 40 years ago which I loved, I got overtaken by life and missed the opportunity to have one of my own.

But finally took the plunge and bought my first one a few weeks ago. I did look at ones from the 70's and early 80's but just couldn't find the right one and for the right money. Finally plumped for a 1993 Sprite. Mainly standard with only some cosmetic changes, and a bog standard 1275 engine.

Looking forward to meeting up with local Mini owners and also asking the forum members lots of fairly predictable questions.
