As an Essex boy who lives a few miles from the original J.D Classics showroom and now less than a mile from the new J.D Classics place if found this very interesting, a late family member actually worked for Hood in the pre J D Classics days when they were ' restoring' cars out of a workshop on what was at the time a scrap yard. I could say more but you never know who's reading what. The funny thing is that the new company still seem to be how can I put it 'loose' with the description of the cars they have for sale, the MK1 they have for sale was listed as a car owned by Cooper himself, I happened apon a post about the car on a forum where the son ( I think ) said that it was in fact he had owned the car but only briefly. I actually emailed the new J.D to tell them, and to give them credit they did change the wording in the add slightly.
