Hi, as new starter to the forum you have to be vetted per se to make sure you are not a spammer etc.

Then one of the forum staff needs to approve your first post. However once this has been done does not immediately give you the right to post everywhere. If you post in a technical section it needs to be approved for the first time, then you will be good to go.

There are rules in place on different parts of the forum that pertain to those certain sections, ie For Sale and Wanted for example. These have their own set criteria that unless met you will not be able to post in.

In fairness , this site is usually quite free of spam / scams ,

So I suspect there is quite a lot of work going on behind the scenes ,

Its a lot better than Farce book which is loaded with Scams of every sort

so fair play to the moderators etc

and welcome to RossKya

Hi and welcome.

Join as a TMF+ member for £5 and you will get access straight away, at least I did unless it has changed since then.

The other benefit is you get a 71/2% discount at Minispares once you have registered your membership of the forum with them.

Thanks everyone.

Just seemed to be taking a long time for approval.

Positive Vetting in the Royal Navy didn't take this long O_O but I totally understand that keeping 'scammers' at bay is important and am happy to wait.

We're only human  :whistling:

It's possible to slip off the radar if your first posts are at a busy time and/or in a less well trodden sub-forum. Many of us use the view new content button. If there's lots of newer content when we log on new members can get overlooked especially as other users won't have replied bumping your post back up the list..

Paddy

Thanks for that.

Happy to join as a TMF+ member for £5 - seems like a reasonable price to pay!
