When I stripped my '98 I removed the windscreen before the "dash panel upper padded rail", but can the rail be refitted after the windscreen has been fitted? I seem to recall it needing to go upwards/forwards to remove which would be difficult with the glass in place.

It's very tight, can be done, but ideally windscreen after if it's not already fitted.

I needed to take mine out with the windscreen in and got it out in the end putting it back I shortened the studs on the dash rail a bit and it went back in relatively easy. I would presume the later ones would be virtually the same.

Thanks all. I’ll investigate shortening the studs because I’d prefer to get the screen in soon.
