Reason I ask is I've seen a couple of pictures where no tabs have been used.
From memory I'm sure my Salisbury had lock tabs 🤔

I never use them, LSD, ATB or Stock.
Clean Threads and Loctite 243.

I don't use washers, just the same as Imack.
If you look under the head of quality bolts, you'll see they have a built on 'washer'..
A washer, if used here, needs to be a 'tensile' grade so it won't ooze out, but as these are hard, then need to be on the thick side. From memory, when you fit these up the Bolt heads can foul on some cases.

The bolts I'm using are the CNC machined LSD bolts from minispares, the ones with the reduced head height.
When using the loctite is it a case of a bit or blather it on?
Also looking through various threads the type of loctite suggested varies from 643 to 741.
At some point the CW will have to come off I would have thought so will this be possible using 741?
My last box build was 35 years ago and was a lock tab job throughout.

I clean both threads with paint thinners and use Loctite 243.
One aspect of that particular type I do rally like is when undo the fasteners at a later time, they will undo without any need for heat, just a good crack to get them started, and they need to be spannered out all the way.
I just put about 1 - 2 drops on the start of the bolt threads, as you wind them in, it does work its way over about 80%+ of the entire thread. It is on the viscous side and more is not better, but a waste.
