Hi there. Would anyone be able to help me out with a quick measurement. I've searched everywhere but I'm not finding what I need. I'm hoping to pick up a mini on a 5.5x10ft trailer and wanted to see if the door will be able to open and clear the trailers fender once loaded. Basically need from the front of the wheel to the back of the door if that makes sense. Many thanks!

If the opening of the door is restricted, with the help of passers-by, it is probably possible to lift front and rear wheel arches and push up against the roof gutters, so that the door is high enough to clear the obstruction.

You don't mention the age of the Mini, but if it has wind-up windows and you have driven the car on to the trailer and can't open the door, you could climb out through the window.

If you may at some stage, you wish to remove the engine, you will need some way of lifting the engine.  Pulley blocks are one way of doing this and if you were to buy a set, you could pull the Mini on to the trailer, steering through an open window.

‘Get the wheels in line’ and then simply push it on.
Once tied down (properly) it won’t be going anywhere.
