Bought some spi coolant hoses from mini spares and they're the viper performance ones, seem to be having a real struggle installing them.

Anyone else experience this?

I fitted a set of silicone hoses to my spi a number of years ago, didn't buy them from MS and I'm not sure on the brand, but the connection to the bottom of the radiator was way out.  In the end I had to cut a good lump off the bottom hose to get it to fit, but it's been fine ever since.

I have the same kit I bought from Spares. Had no issues installing. One thing I have noticed is they seem to allow more coolant smell to emit from them. Might just be me. Car uses zero coolant. No leaks, just smell.
That said, I have had zero issue with them. They still look near new after several years of use.
