I'm in north Texas and bought my 1998 Mini Monza from a dealership near Barcelona, Spain. Sadly they lied in their posting on Catawiki about many aspects of the cars condition .... so what's new, a secondhand car dealer wasn't truthful, shame on me! They posted a picture showing 2 sets of keys and both with the Lucas alarm handset buttons, they sent just the one and flatly deny having the second.

So I'm looking into what I can do to get a second handset button. Ebay have them with the correct PCB code and Lucas 3TXB numbers. Does anyone know if I can buy the Ebay handset button and what might required to get it work the same as my current one and the car alarm ECU?

The workshop manual explains how to restore synchronization of the handset button but I doubt it would work on one that's not programmed to the car alarm ECU, if it is or has to be?

This company should be able to help:

I've bought a couple of replacements for my older alarm/immobiliser from them and found them great to deal with.

Thanks Mike, Remote Key can ship a key fob and programmer to me for about $160.
