Hi there

Not been on this forum for many years - mine spends more years under a blanket in the garage, than on the road!

I need to get an evaluation on my 1989 Mini Mayfair and was looking to see where's the best place to get this?

I've taken a look on auto-trader, but the pricing is so varied on there and being a classic is different from your every day cars.

I'm not looking to necessarily sell it, but moreso get an estimate on its value.

Many thanks

Luke

The people that will give you an approximate value will need detailed photos of everywhere and then it`s only a guess you can`t beat seeing it in the flesh.

Stick some photos on the valuations section on here.

Also look on ebay and Carandclassic.com.

It does depend on many factors. Also as many people point out on here, the advertised for sale price is often not the final sale price. Based on my humble opinion of the market, it seems slow at the mo, cars are hanging around for sometimes months. Maybe it will pick up, who knows.

Here are some ball parks, obv do you own research....

If its solid, perhaps has some bodywork done in the past, new sills or wings, has no issues, few nice bits, good tidy paint, fresh MOT, everything works and is pretty original it's £7k - £9k. Example, realise its a dealer:

https://www.ebay.co....tm/375409099660

If it is usable, tidy, but maybe has a few issues, £5k - £6k. Example:

https://www.ebay.co....tm/166845024797

If it needs work, maybe £2k - £4k: Example:

https://www.ebay.co....tm/156295519380

On the other end of the spectrum, this has been for sale for 4 years, yes 4, I actually started a thread on here about it, as they obv dont want to sell it....

Cheers guys, this was really helpful - had no idea there was an evaluation section on the site, so will take a look as well as the other options mentioned.

Will get a bunch of photo's taken at some point soon.

Thanks again
