Well, finally got myself a diagnostic cable. Plugged it in for the 1st time, only for a few minutes to make sure it worked. But now I have ALL the questions.

 

1996 JDM SPi Kensington Automatic.

 

What does this fault mean, and what's a potential fix?

Also, any good way to route the diagnostic cable to the interior so I can do my best Paul Walker in Fast and Furious and yell at it while my floorboards fall out?

The ECU is adjusting the idle valve too many times.Check the throttle cable,throttle pot and stepper motor.The throttle adjustment has a specific procedure to adjust it using your new software in conjunction with the hardware.Check for air leaks and damaged or blocked hoses.You will have to research the fine details to ensure correct operation.Steve..

You are obviously not one of them.

Second, the value of 80 is not too high.

Third:If you want to fix that, you should first process  Sonscars suggestions. Then there is instructions for setting the IAC on the MFCR programmmer site,IAC should be at about 35 now when engine is worm. After setting the IAC you have to carry out a reset of the ECU, which can also be done with MFCR..Now Jackcount should be at zero. Ride for a while and then see if the jackcount has increased again.

But the description for the jackcount was already given on the graph.

 I was the only who suggested what he could do. I am sorry but Andrew does not write  why he thinks a jackcount of 80 ist too high.

This car is more than 20 years old and I do not think jackcount has ever been reseted. Mine is at 104 and runs fine..

I am sorry but I could not find any commands on the jackcount on the internet. (without blackbox where Andrew took his information!)
