Salutation from sunny north Texas, albeit hurricane Beryl is sliding by us and dropping some very welcome rain and lower temperatures.
I purchased a 1998 Mini Monza from Spain in February, if anyone would like to know I can recommend a dealership near Barcelona, to avoid!
It's not my first I had a '74 1000 back in the late 80's and my Dad had one at that time too that I also maintained.
No plans to do a great deal changes/upgrades but we'll see how that goes.

Welcome to "The Mini Forum".

The rare Minis are the ones without changes and upgrades.

is that still true?

far as I can see the rare ones now are the ones that aren't returned to factory standard, that's the current fad isn't it

not saying one's better than the other, just observing the trend

Welcome from Virginia! Sucks you had some issues from the dealer but glad to see you secured the deal!

I have a 73 that I really want to modify to my inner teenage side. Ya know, bags and stance!? But the other half is pulling the strings for originality… I only see modded minis in the states and much less than the trailer queens some refer as.

Either way, you can’t go wrong because it is your car to enjoy how you like! Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm in Texas but heading back to British Columbia where there's more Mini enthusiasts than here. I'm still kicking myself for not buying a 70's Cooper S just before I came to Texas..... that was 20 years ago!
