Looking for a set of bumpers for the clubby. Seeing a lot of places displaying the black version, which i think would go well against the citron body colour. All are either out of stock or marked as obsolete.

Then the chrome versions are significantly more expensive than the standard ones.

So, i'm after some advice (for both front and back):

- what is the difference between the clubman and normal version.

- can the normal one be used ?

- can it be done with some minor modification?

are there any other options ?

Final option is potentially go with the no bumper look, for the front at least. Not sold on that just yet.

Cheers.

The back bumper had the same fittings. That's what was used on both ends of the 1100 special etc.

The front clubby bumper fitted similar to other cars of the era. If you want black, there may be something on offer from the likes of Carbon Weasel, Arc Angels, ABS Motorsport....

The clubman bumper on the front is profiled to fit above the sidelight and indicator.

The Clubman rear bumper will fit any Mini front or rear and as said was also used on some Special Edition Minis. It is different in section profile to a standard Mini bumper and made of a thicker heavier gauge of steel hence the higher price. If you are not worried about originalty then any standard Mini bumper will also fit the rear of a Clubman/1275GT Mini. However the front Clubman/1275GT bumper is of course a unique shape to the Clubman models.
