Any mini owners in the Corby area? I used to be in the what no brakes club many moons ago but after finally living like a grown up with a house and kids I stopped driving minis. Anyway during COVID I was furlough so I built the mini automatic I had sitting in the garage for years. Which brings me up to date.
I don't see any minis on my travels around town but that doesn't mean they are not there and they could be in the garage broken like mine ha!
I thought it might be worth an ask to see who's about and wants to meet up,fix up buddy or whatever it takes to start an informal group.

I'm happy to give advice/support fixing other members minis and you might find others in the club who would help if you're struggling

I joined up on the Facebook group for wotnobrakes and I got removed shortly after. Not sure why. I'm pretty good at working on my mini just offering to help anyone else who might need it.

It is Chris right? One of our members remembers you.

 

If you do want to rejoin, the wotnobrakes page is defunct and not used any more; we have a new group called "wotnobrakes mini owners club" if you search that but its a private group now so you'd have to "apply" (or whatever the face book terminololgy is -  I'm an aged computer user not well versed in FB)

Yep that's me, I'm surprised anyone from the old days is still there let alone remembers me. Who was it that's knew me?

Graham Hutchins. I can't actually remember when I joined the club, I think it was 2011, but I don't remember you, so its been a while since you were part of the gang....!

Yeah I was out of it about 07-08 I think. I take it Brian and Lizette are not there anymore? They were running it when I was in.

They handed over the reins about 3 years ago now (could be more even - time goes by so fast) 

 

Sadly Brian died earlier this year and I believe Lizette is going "hoorm" (bad spelling of Geordie accent) to be near her family

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. Lovely people. Brian gave me loads of advice in the early days.

Yes a big loss to the club - Brian did the MoTs on my minis for many years until he retired.

 

 

Why not join up again, 15 quid membership gets you into the steam rallies for free (if you show your car of course) and we do the usual mini shows plus sunday drives out and also second wednesday of the month evening runout
