Update:

Sorry for the late notice, but I've been snowed under with work, recently.

The design for the T-Shirt is at the print shop, image to follow soon.

Anyone wanting to have a T-shirt: message me with your email address and I'll send the file to you, to get your own T-shirt printed?

Stand by.

As I pointed out earlier the Moop will not be on the road, but if she was I would be joining you.

Out of interest  are you going to be driving the proper original route along the  A23 all the way or the A23 - M23 - A23.

Have fun and hope you have a good number turning up for the drive.

For the ULEZ Compliant:

Crystal Palace Car Park, Sunday 19th May.

Depart 9am

Non-ULEZ Compliant:

The Full Monty Cafe
207 Brighton Rd
Coulsdon
CR5 3EA

Crystal Palace Car Park, Sunday 19th May.

Depart 9:45

I'm aiming to take the recent route A23/M23 but the day is absolutely not about rules. Anyone wishing to take the old route is welcome to do so.

My motivation is that I'm not ready to quit an annual trip because of regulation and, as previously mentioned, the Locksbottom to Hastings Mayday Motorcycle Run was initiated by a group of guys trying to figure out what to do on the, then, newly created May Day Bank Holiday and grew and grew, even in the pre-internet days. It was never officialy organised but the numbers grew into five figures. Hastings embraced the idea providing free parking for the event.

There may only be a few of us, this year, but, from little acorns,...

I've put it on 5 Facebook groups. Be interesting to see the feedback.
I couldn't bring myself to put it on the lsmoc site

Hi All, Southern Mini Owners club and Indigogo Events have set up an event on 19th May from Brighton touring the south downs, called the Mini Orbital Run.

We have permission from the owners and security of the start venue to gather, BUT it is only open to members of Mini clubs.  This will allow us to put everyone in groups of 12 with a lead Mini for each club.

So when your arrive at Brighton instead of paying mega money for parking, book up for this event, have fun by joining in our tour with fun challenges and most importantly fundraise for Air Ambulance.

Here is further information for you to share  - you have just a week to register. See you on 19th.

We have created a fantastic run open to members of Mini Clubs and Classic Car Clubs, called the Mini Orbital Run taking place on Sunday 19th May 2024.

Starting at 8am in Brighton  the run is a non-competitive fundraising tour allowing participants to drive a 34-mile scenic route and visit some interesting locations in the picturesque South Downs. To show support for Air Ambulance participants are asked to wear red.

The only competitive element is to get to the £100 fundraising target to raise funds for the Air Ambulance Kent Surrey and Sussex to buy their own Air Ambulance by the end of May!

There are also some interesting challenges during the run with prizes from Vrroom Race Room, The British Motorshow and Logo that Polo.

The event is being run by The Southern Mini Owners Club and Indigogo Events.

Tickets for the event can be purchased here and a discount is open to clubs by emailing [email protected]
