If I sign in there are no entries in the New Content page but if I sign out then all the new posts are shown in the New Content page.
What's going on?

what content type and time period have you got ticked over on the left
have you accidentally ticked 'just items I follow' at the bottom maybe

Go to your settings and adjust the time options.
