It looks like that 'E' should be stamped with the same font but somehow they missed it and stamped later.

Other labels from that era proofs that

For me that color is El Pase Beige with which I'm in love

That's the body number, the commission number should be on a red/silver aluminium plate next to the chassis number.

Yes I know it, my other Mini has that red/silver plate.

It must be there ? I mean all Mini has (had) that plate originally?

The body number is different to the commission number. Years ago, occasionally the British Leyland dealer would require the commission number when buying spare parts.
I don't know whether the body number can be used to identify the car in any way, I think it's a bit like the F/FE numbers on the inner wing and front floor pans and was just used in production.

Yes, all mk3's originally had door seals the same colour as the interior trim.
My current mini was originally Harvest Gold with olive interior and door seals.
My clubman estate was Teal blue with lime flower interior and door seals.

I guess lot's of them lost or damaged during the years. I'm glad this car has this unique detail  :shifty:

Yesterday after a day of work the engine came back to life.

Some good background information on the various Commission/Body and Chassis number plates is available here on the MiniMail website:-
