Hi folks! After months collecting new parts (high compression pistons, SW5 crankshaft, duplex timing chain...) to rebuild the engine, it is necessary to paint the block. This is the color I like. Does anyone know what green it is or the paint code?...

There’s two original greens, light or dark depending upon the age if the car, or what you want to achieve.

A friend told me that engine is painted with gloss. Paint+gloss. Are you agree?

By the way, is enought one spray (400ml) to paint an engine (block+cylinder head) ??

I’m pretty sure I did mine with one aerosol.

I did mine with a tin and brush and I've probably only used half .. and on my engine that includes a sump pan.

It’ll be more than enough. I did two engines with one can from Somerford (yellow rather than green). And just painted the next with a different brand but still used less than half.

I hope I get the shade of green right. I want the one in my photo above and they have told me in Somerford that it is probably that one, but they have not confirmed it. Reference EP3ASP
