That's what mine were. Mini spares ones. Sorry mateI hope all this hassle doesn't apply to 6x10 revolutions as I've just bought 8 of them 🙄

Having fitted all sorts of tyres at work, 10's are fine, 22" elastic bands can be much harder.

Tip seen on Mk1 Forum:- "Go to any Mini7 races where Dunlop are there (they are series sponsors) and for a few quid they will fit and balance your 10" tyres."

So, got my replacement tyre from GT Tyres and he gave me details of Croydon Minis. Went over there and they said they sent all their mini tyres to a place about a mile away. They said they should be able to do it and will give it a go as they have the machine that can handle 10" wheels. Told them this was the 4th tyre and the first three had been broken. They suggested I must have taken them to some dodgy tyre shops. They tried both sides and no go. Another broken tyre!! No replacement offered.
Where do I go from here? Don't really want to buy another tyre for it as it seems impossible of a job. I don't want to go through this again whenever I get a flat.

Unfortunately the best option is probably to send the rims to scrap metal. It is a defective design. I think I recall someone on this forum having theirs machined, that might be the only other option.

how long ago did you buy these rims, surely if fairly recent (otherwise it would be a known issue for you ?) then you can go back to the supplier and insist that they're not fit for purpose and you want them replaced with the more recent corrected design

They came with the car when I bought it. I put new tyres all round about a year ago and this one is the only one that I've had an issue with, the rest were fine. They managed to get a new tyre on it originally, but it started to bulge on the side wall so I thought I'd change it, and here we are. Three tyres and four tyre fitters later and the wheel is still without a tyre.

As already said these rims were originally manufactured with the recess in the wrong place and are only fit for scrap metal.....it will end up cheaper to buy the later corrected rims than destroy anymore new tyres but your choice if you continue....
