I think its about 150kg, maybe upto 200kg (standard saloon). Subframe weighs roughly 30kg.

200? thats nearly 1/3 of the weight? and the engines about another 3rd isnt it? surely everything else would weigh more than 200 - 300 kgs ?

i picked up my uncles 1966 mk1 shell, when it was on a spit, with aframes at each end, and i picked up one end whilst he put some axle stands under it :\

perhaps 150 is nearer the weight.

only guessing tho :w00t: so not much help lol

Weight of a mini - roughly 650-700kg.

Shell - 200kg
Subframes - 60kg
Engine - 150 kg
Battery - 10kg
Seats - 30kg
Glass - 25 kg
Wheels - 25kg
Hubs and radius arms - 20 kg

Theres not a lot else to take it upto the 650-700kg that a mini weighs!!

For some reason, I have the weight of a shell down as 131kg, perhaps that is a totally bare shell, ie, no boot, bonnet, doors etc.

That was weighed by someone in a report I was reading about comparisons with possible composite shells, so I would have thought it was fairly accurate to be honest.

Hubs & Radius arms 20kg? I woudl double that.

A set of 'S' hubs discs and calipers is just over 20kg when packed up for posting.

Never have had confidence in that table though - as I've asked before, why is a 1275GT 70kg heavier than a standard clubman?
