Hi all,

Does anyone know of a rolling road tuning company in the South West?  I've searched the forum but can't find any info (apologies if i've missed it!)

I've recently become the new owner of a modified 1995 Mini Cooper and brought it home to Exeter.  It is idling erratically and stalls after cold starting.  I'm working through the potential issues with the use of various forum posts and Haynes manual but either way would like it tuned on a rolling road at some point.  If anyone can recommend a company down my way it would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

Rich

Not a rolling road tuner, but a well known static tuner called AC Dodd. Just take a look at his youtube video's.

Tipton Garage, Tipton St John, near Sidmouth is not far from Exeter and has an excellent reputation and a long history of BMC and A Series engines. I hadn’t used them until April this year but they set up my newly built 1360 engine before a trip to Scotland and back, excellent service. Richard ran the Downton branch in London and son Steve worked for Janspeed so very good with ‘old school’ and modern ECUs etc, a friend with modern Westfield was very impressed with the torque that was found compared with a previous rolling road. They prepare and compete at Wiscombe, Goodwood Revival and other similar events.

Alternatively you could try Neil Slark near Bristol airport again has connections with Downton and minis, have also used him with good results.

Thank you all very much, it's great to have recommendations to go on! I'll check them out and let you know how I get on.
