A couple of friends of mine have had failures with very low mileage pre-verto throwout bearings. Is there a particular brand name or part number for a throwout bearing that will last longer than 800 miles?

What bearings were they using?
We're the clutches correctly adjusted so that the bearing isn't in contact with the thrust plate when the clutch is released.
I've not had any failure with either the standard bearing from minispares or the heavy duty version other than both of them becoming a bit whirry/noisy when the clutch is depressed or the bearing is spun by hand.
I'm currently running a new old stock RHP version of the 'heavy duty' bearing. Still absolutely smooth and silent after a couple of thousand miles.

Bearing is the same one usually found in the Borg and Beck clutch kit and correctly adjusted clutch lever.  Would be nice if Timken made a throw out bearing.
