Hi all. Having trouble with my mini van sliding window kit.Fitted new 1 piece rubber track and the chrome bottom track and the glass is near impossible to slide. Have tried silicone spray but hasn't helped.seems that the track isn't wide enough. Any advice how to free them up without redoing them as it was a hell of a job to fit. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Dylan.

I use silicon spray very sparingly with one of those tiny tubes on my estate windows

I've just fitted a new set of sliding window tracks into the door of a Mk2 traveller. (One side done, one side still to go.) The glass slides freely without any added lubrication, though I haven't yet fitted the pad that goes between the front/back glass.

The door kit came from MiniSpares. It has a rigid bottom track and a one-piece bendy front/back/upper track.

Needed very small screws in the bottom track - #4 csk self-tapper - to avoid fouling the glass.

Another for the silicone spray.

I did use mr sheen furniture polish to start as that was all my mum had when I was but a mere child...

Also in the past I have opened the channels on the rail side needed (if you know what I mean.)

As in, the rear window will only go to the lowered bar on the door.
