I’m removing and replacing the wiring loom on my spi Cooper ,I bought the engine harness and the main loom , and I have the wires with the plugs entering to the car on the left hand side with all the connections to the rear wire harness , is this oem , I can’t find anything like this on the wiring diagrams or the loom that I have bought from mini spares

I believe I have identified all the connections and the routing of the wiring harness , can anybody tell me what other wires enter the car on the left side of the vehicle besides the single wire connectors to the rear loom ? Does anybody recognize these plugs ? The original harness is butchered up , I believe at one point this car had an after market alarm.

Firstly there are two very different SPi looms  one is 92-94 (4 fuse box) and the other is 95-96 (24 fuse box). The plug to the rear is different on both.

The white plugs and black tubing are not standard Rover parts. What is the white and gray box?

Not all additional wiring is bad, I discovered my mini had non working central locking which I managed to fix again.

yes mine is the early (4 fuse box ) the white and gray box had hand writing in it that said lights , is there any other connection or wiring on the left side besides the single plugs to the rear loom?i bought the car like this , it looks like it had an aftermarket alarm that was not use anymore , it had a momentary and a toggle switch in between all the spaghetti wiring

Is it right or left hand drive?

On right hand drive it would be the only one.
