Does anyone know the required torque? Also if I don’t use a torque wrench. Do I just nip the water pump up or so I tighten hard? Thanks in advance

Not very,

I was going to say just use some generic specs for the fastener, but your question led me to finding this

The screws will likely be grade 5, zinc plated, but use the grade 2 column as they're threaded in to cast iron. Note some of it is inch-pounds, not foot-lbs!

Use a 'non-setting' gasket cement ( like blue Hylomar ) on both sides of the gasket, put Copperslip on the bolts and as you say, use common sense to nip the bolts tight.

That sounds reasonable, it's about the grade 5 figure - Depends on how much thread is engaged in the block, figures will be for nuts (of same grade) that are as deep as they're wide. That'll be stronger than cast iron by factor of about 4 or 5, but it also has the advantage of the 'ole being bigger than the shaft.

...Less torque if you use lube.

.....Gasket seal alone would likely hold it water tight. The bolts will just be bolding the rock of the block 'n the alternator
