So I'm having an annoying issue where the wire that controls the fuel injector is loose in the ECU connector/plug, and keeps wiggling loose. What's the best way to replace/rebuild this connection?

I've seen that in this thread: https://www.theminif...-plug-connector/ the main ECU plug is this item: https://polevolt.co....U36.html#SID=51

So is my best bet to buy that and just re-terminate each wire and build a new plug?

I'd rather not buy a whole new wiring harness just for this section, and nobody seems to sell a pigtail for just the ECU connector. Car is a 94 SPI with just one plug on the ECU.

Thanks!

You should purchase a good crimping tool and a wire blanking tool for "re-do" the terminals. Also advice to buy some terminals for spare if you mess up 1 or 2.

There is a wire diagram topic here what you can follow to insert the terminals in the right place.

The long tongues on the terminals will hold the seals also.

cant you hold it firmly in place and dribble a tiny bit of hot glue gun glue into the back side (or similar) that might be enough to stop it coming free

Any idea what type of terminals I need to get?

thats the same type of connector they use on microsquirt ecu, i have one on my bmw, they are really good, you can take them apart and repin them. you pry out the plasic retainer out of the front and the pins come out of the back.

the pins i bought where these

these ones

this is the crimp tool i use

but you could buy prewired terminals from ebay or somewhere and solder onto them.

Turns out Polevolt won't ship to the US, so I'm looking at this one: https://www.corsa-te...php?item_id=623
