They have become expensive for the information that can be gleaned from them.
I wonder if the publishers have thought of bringing them out bi-monthly, alternately?.

Funny you say that, but that's become a bit of a trend in the tech world. Long-form articles with in-depth write-ups on a specific subject along with interviews/reviews from industry leaders, released every 3-6months. They're almost book-like rather than a magazine. Kind of like 'coffee table books' but for petrolheads!
What that also means is that they justify a higher price - I'm happy to pay £10-15 for something that's got solid content - well written, well presented, and I'll refer back multiple times, as opposed to the monthly publications which take all of 10mins to read and are worthless when finished with.

I guess no call for mags anymore now social media has got bigger. See and read everything online.

There's one car mag that I still think is good value and that is Car Mechanics. It's been around for years and still offers sound advice about running second hand cars from about five to twenty years old. One of the few monthly car magazines where most of the articles are still worth reading. Unfortunately when Kelsey media took it over from Bower media a few years ago they must have let the proof reader go but the spelling and grammar errors are it's only downside.

I've heard differently as my mates going to be featured in the July 2023 magazine.

I found out because my Grandson was in touch with them about an article they were intending to do about the three Minis in our family. Won't happen now I guess.

Looks like Mini Mag is still with us...the April 2023 issue above is just out and features "60 years of the Cooper S", plus a Radford De Ville and a Wood & Pickett Margrave. Also the usual preview inside of next months May 23 issue on sale 24th March....

That’s how they started.

The price of magazines in general hasn't helped either

Sad to hear. I never subscribed due to the high cost in the United States but picked up an issue occasionally when I saw them at the bookstore.
