
Comma G48 Coolant?

I cannot see why it would not be.

The G48 antifreeze is suitable for use in the "A" series engine. It has silicate based inhibitors and is recognised to have a service life of three years. When you say "a bottle of" how much do you actually have, if enough for at least a 30% mix of total coolant capacity then a drain,flush and refill with fresh coolant, it will be fine to use.
It is not recomended to mix different types of antifreeze so if you do not know what the present coolant is do not use it just for top ups, drain and refill with a known coolant.

Its recommended on the A series to run around 50/50 as the blocks are very prone to rusting.

Thanks guys, this is premixed stuff rather than concentrate. i think it is a 5 litre plastic can.

...as long as your car has alluminium rad and heater matrix. Otherwise the G11 (traditional IAT coolant or Bluecol type) is the one you should look for if you do not want to break all the lead solders and start a leaking nightmare. G48 is HOAT type.
