HI all,

I have a 1996 SPI (with the rear reinforced pillars like an MPI) and I want to fit 6 x 12 Mambas. Obviously with an ET of -7 they will stick out alot further than standard 4.5 x 12 minilites.

Has anybody got experience of these wheels or help me with wheel arch choices?

I am going for black arches against my red paintwork and going for a 'cafe racer' look (so no sportspack arches) thinking group 2 but do not think they will be wide enough.

Here in Austria the tyre tread MUST be covered by the wheel arch (they will measure and check)

Any help suggestions will be appreciated.

Also are there any arches wide enough that would use the factory standard arch fixing holes?

I dont mind if the screws are visible

I'm running 6x10 wheels with a -7 ET and after some measuring I have ordered some Group 5 arches from Arc Angels I think the car came with Group2 arches and they are definitely not wide enough. Arc Angels rear arches are 3" wide whereas some others I saw were 3.25". They should be here soon so I can let you know how they fit, hopefully there won't be any tyre poke.

They haven’t arrived yet due to some delays in manufacturing, a bit frustrating!

Haha, they’ve arrived but I haven’t had a chance to offer them up as I’m away with work. I’ll let you know as soon I do it!

Finally (!) and apologies for the delay but other issues with the car took precedence. The Arc Angels Group 5 arches fit perfectly with my -7 offset wheels.

wow sweet

They look great - I see the arches only come in white so I presume you had them painted?

Yes, I went with black as I intend to paint the roof in the same colour.
