Where can I get decent Baulk Rings for road use ?

Only interested in ones that;-
      i) don't break, and
ii) if purchased, will actually be delivered

MiniSport competition ones are good, but eye-wateringly expensive, I believe made by Quaife. I use these in my rally car now and not had a problem (so far)

Classic Minis Japan also do some, not sure how good they are though but I would suspect decent.

They are. But when you have them in your hands you can tell they are streets apart and have been thought about - not just copies of the same mistakes.

The ears are offset from the grooves, meaning the heat treatment hasn’t made them brittle at the thinnest points. Each one is hand engraved with a batch code which gives confidence in some level of quality inspection process.

For long enough they never actually sold them to Joe Bloggs, you could only get them ‘under the counter’ if you were a MiniSport Cup competitor. I believe Swiftune use them too (no doubt direct from Quaife).

I’ll admit I only use them on 1st & 2nd, using selected good used ones on 3rd & 4th. But £80 a pop is better than not finishing an event that has cost much more to enter! I’ve been running the current pair for over 2 years with no issue. The friction surface on the gears also lasts much better.

I've had 2 sets of the MS evo ones and all but 2 of them were oval. I'm having to rebuild the gearbox on the turbo now and using guessworks oem ones. Just hope it works!
