I’m looking for a car alarm that I can easily fit to my mini as it lives outside. Does anyone know of any links to a decent alarm? Thanks

use one of the following or all of them.

1 - Fit a cut out switch on the ignition circuit

2 - fit a cut out switch on the fuel pump if electric

3 - fit a master cut off switch on main battery power.

Nobody takes any notice of alarms 'going off'. Do as kiwi topcat suggests. I have.

Targeted thefts are likely our biggest threat. If you can, park out of view at home & try not to always park in the same area out on the streets. Deterrence is better, so visible steering and or gear/handbrake locks that will make it harder to even roll it away.  An alarm is better if you can hear it, some will link to mobile phones and incorporate trackers. You could do the same with a  motion sensing security camera at home.

agree everyone ignores alarms
i have fitted a cut out switch on the ignition circuit - cannot start without the big red key
and if left for a while i disconnect the battery and lock boot
plus one is in a garage other has a cover with lockable straps

If it's easy to fit... It's probably easy to unfit!

Agree all of the above.

Plus good steering wheel clamps.

Plus good trackers.

Whatever your insurance company approves. Then add the extras.
