Last week I was advised by the MOT man that my Vermillion (CML /BLVC 118) Clubman is Orange and not Red.
The car was originally white and was rebuilt in Vermillion so I changed the log book colour to Red.
What colour is right?
Here is a photo of the car.

Agree Vermillion is Red, however the photo looks very similar to my Mini which is Blaze (Orange)

I've had two Vermilion red minis, both in original paint, it's about as close as you can get to orange without actually being orange. That clubman looks exactly how I'd expect it to.

Orangey red or is it reddish orange, is the MOT station advising you to change the colour on the log book?

Orange didn't exist until we had oranges.

 

 

 

Using the HSV colour model: Red has a hue of 0. Orange is 30 (half way to Yellow). Vermillion should be 5, making it more red than orange. If you have to argue it out with him, take a photo & open it with a paint app that will sample colours & show HSV.
