Best and favourite are different things.

Best was probably a Octavia tdi dsg. Did everything you would ever want.

Favourite - Nova GSI. Since then theres been all sorts Type Rs, Meganes RSs kit cars etc.

Loved that Nova though.

Worst for me was my first ever car after passing my test. That being a Daewoo Matiz. Made of butter.

Crappers

Plenty of Minis is states of disrepair.
Manta gte which got stolen and stripped.
Talbot sunbeam which got written off while playing in the snow.
Nova with no shockers.
Vauxhall frontera....words fail me.

Good ones

Nissan qashqais x 2 awesome cars
Peugeot 306 HDI turbo which had more torque than a big torquey thing.
And last but not least my full race road going Mini which gave more pleasure than you can ever have while keeping your clothes on!

Worst was a brand new Ford Courier ute. Just about everything crapped itself, it was lousy on fuel and ate front tyres despite multiple front end fixes and alignments. Could not have been happier to get rid.

Best was an 82 mini van (95) which I tweaked and customised to within an inch of its life but it never let me down.

Best: Fiat Bravo. I bought it with 80k miles on the clock and added about 40k in two years. Passed it on to a mate when I moved to Oz and he added a further 40k. Neither of us serviced it at all and it was the absolute opposite of Fiat folklore - the only thing that ever went wrong was the cassette player.

Worst: Citroen Visa GT. Bought as a 100 quid panic buy in my final year at university with 6 months MoT. It had very sharp brakes, but different calipers left and right. Spun it in Tesco's car park in the wet at very low speed. Every drive was exciting - just not for right reasons.

As a side note, rumour has it that the Visa was originally to be called the Vehicule Domestique until an English speaking employee stepped in. Maybe because ownership of one is way worse then any uninvited itch.

Worst car Land Rover Freelander, need I say more the most unreliable car I’ve ever owned bar none and I’ve had a few.
Best car VW Golf Mk5, 162,000 miles when I sold it and other than tyres, brake pads etc it never let us down and was still on original clutch

Best was a Jaguar S-Type R which I had when I was 26, went like rocket and was a very cool car to own at that age (good job, living with parents so no mortgage).

Worst was a 1999 Jaguar S-Type, everyhing that could go wrong with it went wrong with it even though it was only 5 years old at the time, I traded it in for the Type R which was the second generation and much better built.  After that car I bought a house and ended up with a Daewoo Nubira Estate, how the mighty were fallen!

Now 15 years later with a wife, mortgage and two kids i have a 15 year old Ford Fiesta with rusty sills, where did it all go wrong!

Worst was a mk1 fiesta that me(15) and my brother (17) bought together.

SPENT AGES CLEANING IT ALL UP.

Got to the age of 17 myself and was not allowed it as my brother had claimed it.

Then bought a mini never looked back..

Had many a rotter and fixed many of them but they all teach you different things.....

Best car was a 1987 BMW730i SE. I bought it at 3 years old with 50k on the clock and kept it for 8 years taking it to 247,000 miles. Fabulous car.
Worst was a new 1975 Cortina 2000E. Absolute heap of junk.
Most exciting was a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7RST. Owned it for 16 years from 1979. Wish I still had it!

Worst was a Vauxhall Cavalier.

I bought a 3 year old low mileage Cav SRI130 (H Reg) and although it had a few things happen, (snapped cam belt, no damage, windscreen wiper assy parted company, blown HG but still kept going, rusty fuel tank) i racked up 250000 miles in that with 200k being from me. Original clutch in all that time. It was a trooper to say the least.

Evo 8mr 340 was an absolute animal on the back roads, perfectly reliable apart from going through tires brakes and clutches but I lived that car so much. I also had a sri130 back in the day which was up there with one of my best cars.
Worst car had to be a renault Megan 1.4, I couldn't turn the interior light on without it breaking down with some random electrical fault which the garage would spend a day with a diagnostic machine trying to work out what's wrong. It had a nice glass roof though.
