Is it any good?
I'll shortly be starting the bodywork on my Commer camper at home and, as I don't have the facilities to spray 2k, I'm considering the 1k option. Question is is it worth it or should I carry on with conventional primer.
Cheers

Excellent thank you. Which thinner did you use, is there a particular one?

The 1k was in aerosols which I bought from my local paint suppliers.
When it was everything 2k based I asked Ben_o on here and also what the paint suppliers recommended.
I used Autopaints in Brighton for my supplies. I cannot remember what the actual brand was but had no issues with everything I used at the time. I did use a rapid hardener and appropriate thinner to match.

Thanks for that There's an Auto Paints not far from me in St Helens so I'll make enquiries.

Yes that's the reason. Small garage and close neighbors (who are annoying but I don't really want to poison). So I have more options available, thank you.

When you say you don't have the facilities to spray 2k do you mean in terms of respirator ?
Because 2k epoxy doesn't contain isocyanates like other 2k paints do .

I use 2k mate, my garage is smaller than yours! I use hp body 534 high build and the 989 epoxy. Its not like spraying 2k paint, it dosnt give off the same problems. Also the high build is dry in no time too. You can roller it on too apparently.

What respiratory protection is needed for spraying the HP body 534 high build? Just a suitable good quality max or full respiratory kit? I've been using 1K aerosols to protect areas after completing work but I'm sure this offers only a fraction of the protection of a proper 2K coat. Experience of spraying 2K back in the '80s as a complete amateur in a domestic garage taught me NEVER to go there again!
i use one of these but replace the filters often.
