Has anyone fitted a set of BB5 seats, or know anything about them or the company?

These... https://www.bbclassi...k/bb5seats.html

If so what's the seat quality, fit and comfort like?  They are super inexpensive hence I'm wondering if quality is that good.

I need to replace my Corbeau Clubman seats (no longer available). Replacing with the Cobra Clubmans is an option (pretty much the same dimensions/design), but Iwould prefer fixed back, on a GRP shell.  The BB5 seats seem like they might fit, but I can't find any info/reviews on them.  The other front runners are RaceEquip Composites.

Mmm own brand. Unlikely to have any Motorsport approval/testing. Low price so most likely the same as others out there with just a different tag.

I've seen some of there seats at various shows, if I'm honest I would look esle where, the quality wasn't that great. They seem to specialise in copying well known brands, but built down to a price, I think Nick is right, they don't sell seats with MS approval.

Similar to the ones mine came with. Makes getting in, and out of, the back for contortionists only

Contortionists aren't welcome in my Mini... it has no back seat!

Yes, I have a feeling the BB5 is either a copy or a "rebranded" Alibaba seats (there are a few on there that look identical).  Cheap normally means corners have been cut (quality, etc) so best to stick with a known brand.

Here in the USA it costs about the same to retirm as it does to buy a new set of e.g. Cobra Clubmans!

I emailed Corbeau... they don't sell replacement seat covers for the Clubman seat, but will sell their fabric by the yard if I want to retrim them myself. More trouble than it's worth to do it myself, and gets expensive quickly to get it done professionally.

FYI... I'm starting to sway away from modern race-style buckets and am REALLY starting to like the classic look of the Corbeau GT8 (with e.g. red fabric center and eyelets).  Guess I'll need to save a few more pennies as they are ~$1400US for a pair shipped to California.

The Corbeau GT8 was the first “ comp” seat I used. Very big and heavy. But comfortable.
