Are Somerford Mini still trading?

I tried to order some parts yesterday, I am an existing customer but the website would not log me on.

I rang them, after a while a young lady answered, I explained I could not log on. She said someone would get back to me.
No one rang back and I still cannot get onto the site to order my parts.

I would expect them to sill be trading as it would be very odd to go from hinting 2 weeks back to bust.

Nicklouse,  I have used their website regularly for checking part numbers etc and found it very useful.

however I have been very lazy and not done anything to the car for 15 months or so. I now find the website is not as easy to navigate around. Also it won’t recognise my email address or password.   The young lady did not seem to know anything about the system, only saying she would have to pass this on to someone who would ring me back.

I was at somerford mini about 6 weeks ago very helpful and the manager said he’s struggling to recruit the appropriate staff post covid. I think they have revamped the website a little while ago sometimes details are lost. They have a lot of bits and pieces that no other company has so I hope this is just a blip.

Also it won’t recognise my email address or password. 

Mine too, but I haven't used them since '19, maybe they dump accounts if unused for a certain period of time?

They’re based a few mins walk from us, very much still trading.

I had an order from them about 2 weeks ago. No problem with the site back then. I will say that their reworked website is not as user friendly now as the old one.

They were the last UK retailer to sell me anything after Brexit. They have a very large and good inventory for earlier cars. Good communication and honest.

Why would there be someone picking up the phone if they had ceased?

Would it be better to just delete this topic?  It came up on my notification emails and gave me a fright... everyone's struggling for staff just now.... they are hiring on their Facebook page if anyone knows anyone interested in helping them!

 

Wish I lived closer to them - bought my current Mini from them after they rebuilt it, and they've been great ever since with good information when required.
