All the large metal areas on a car will vibrate and react like amplifier to the drone.

 

so install some bitumen mats (or similar heavy material) to the roof, doors and bonnet.

 

With this material the metal can not vibrate and reduce the drone.

its probably worth mentioning that the twin box rc40 actually makes a bit more power than the single box rc40 according to Keith Calver

Thanks for all the suggestions, I haven't got around to changing anything yet I started a bathroom project at home so my free time is pretty occupied. I'm thinking my next step will be to add some deadening to the engine side of the bulkhead to see where that gets me.

Not yet, just finished the bathroom project though so soon I hope.
