Sorry folks I had gone to ground, I had a covid booster shot yesterday and was feel much the worse for it, back sorta on the rails now.

The engine is Leyland. It was apparently tossed out as scrap in the 80's where the owner salvaged what he could of it, though it was far from complete, so he's had to do some improvisation of his own.
Single Cam and it runs down the centre of the head, the head is an 8 port. It would also appear the block was cast specific to run with this head as there's no push rod holes or space for cam followers. There is a plain shaft running through the block though to drive the Oil Pump and the distributor too.
The Rockers were adapted from Fiat types, these were missing
