Long time member, first time question asker.

So I am going to be converting my 1970 mini back to 10" wheels. It is currently running 8.4" disks with 12" Rover Minilites under Special arches.

I have bought the conversion to 7.5" disks.

I will be keeping the special arches and looking for minilite style wheels, so my question is do I need 4.5" or 5" width 10s and what ET will I require to fill the arches without poking out or sitting too far in?

Thanks

Andrew

The first UK Mini to use 'special' arches with factory fitted 5x10 Exacton alloy wheels was the 1100 Special below but it was on drum brakes....however your Mini has discs and spacer rear drums which will mean you need the suitable ET to compensate for the wider track. Minilite wheels do their 4.5 & 5x10 alloys with different offsets to suit drum brakes or discs /with and without arches.....

I personally really like the "Special" arches and 10" wheels, I ran them on my mini for a while.

The wheels are a set of 100+ 10" x 5" but I don't know the offset I am afraid.

To update

Went with the Mini Spares 4.5x10 S Offset (ET32) with 165 tyre and they fit the arches well.

Looks like that mini special was designed to run with a discs as it’s under wheeled from the factory on drum brakes and does not really need the special arches
