Blimey some righteous arches will be needed to cover those rims.
Lovely build @Ben_O

I couldn't believe the trouble I had trying to find someone to fit 165 tyres to a 7" rim!
Finally found someone to do it though, I dropped them off yesterday and picked picked up today
We would have fitted them here but we recently replaced the tyre machine and it doesn't go down to 10" wheels...
Now they are on the car, I can finally start fitting the arches

Those arches will cover those wheels very nicely..

The car is all but finished from my end but I have had a bit of trouble with the arches
I'm not sure if I expect too much from them and j understand that they are to some extent, function over form but getting them to fit perfectly and symmetrically is a challenge
I started with one of the rears and got it fitting nicely
However, it didn't stay on nicely for long..
The fixing method for these arches are hinged brackets. The manufacturer supplies sikaflex to bond them to the underside of the arch but it didn't provide enough support and the brackets would just come away from the arches
After some thought , I decided the best way was to bond them and then provide some additional support by fibfreglassing them to the arches
This then prevented the brackets from pulling away from the arches
So eventually, I managed to get all 4 mounted
Yes the front looks a bit odd but there is no weight there yet to settle the suspension.
Once the ride height is even and low, they should look just right
I've got a couple of little bits to paint like the top shock mounts and then i can finish the polishing and it'll be done!
Cheers
Ben
