I’m looking for recommendations for Spi engine specialists in the East Midlands area (I’m in Northamptonshire). I’ll be honest and admit I have almost zero mechanical skills and have trusted my local garage to look after my 1996 Cooper since it came out of warranty. Usually they’re excellent, but this issue even has them stumped.
I’ve had all the usual suspects changed; fuel trap, vac pipes etc. but there’s a huge dead spot (and stall when cold) when accelerating and changing gears.
So I’m looking for a garage who can get this sorted. Thanks in advance,

You don’t say where you are in Northamptonshire but Southam Mini centre are only just outside, they’re great for all things Mini related.
I’ve used them for years and travel nearly an hour each way to do so.
