In an interview for drivetribe he said 6 weeks.. yet al the drama on tv, agreed last episode didn’t convince me.Didn't miss much, they built a scrap escort into a show car in a week....! I don't think so, discovery must think viewers are stupid...! Thinking about it most are.Missed it didn’t take long for removal of this oneEpisode 6: https://youtu.be/7fIhUvpCiUQ

I thought that they built the Escort for the Hampton Court show, then spent the week (that you mention) tidying it up ready for auction?

They (supposedly) took 7 weeks to build the Escort, but it was entered into Hampton Court just a week before it was finished. I'm sure they knew that was always the plan though.
They then took another week to actually finish off for sale, at which point they seemed to lose a bucketful of cash on it - what they don't/can't factor in is the work that car may have generated in the process.
At the end of the day it is an entertainment programme and not a documentary - that's what the masses want. Otherwise 'A Car Is Born' would still be on our screens......
I'm quite enjoying it, but only through these dodgy Youtube links - I wouldn't want to pay especially.

Absolutely. Unfortunately people forget that most tv needs to generate advertising revenue, so two blokes spending hours restoring a car isn’t going to appeal to the number if people required.
But then again, some people think that Strictly is a dance competition…

Think I'll just wait for the series to be rerun on regular Discovery channel at a later date.
